Thanksgiving weekend 2016, Knoxville, Tennessee. The Guy family has gathered to celebrate Thanksgiving on Goldenview Lane. Joel and Lisa Guy are breaking bread and carving turkey with their three daughters from his previous marriage, their grandchildren, husbands and significant others. Also in town for the family gathering is twenty-eight year old Joel Michael Guy Jr. The only child shared by Lisa and Joel Sr. Joel Michael was a bit odd—a loner. What transpired in their home that weekend was nothing short of a Hollywood slasher movie where the victims weren’t merely murdered, they were dismembered, rendered in a cocktail of chemicals and cooked. This is the story of Joel Michael Guy, Jr. The Monster, the Money and the Murders.
